"Dr. Greg" Mlynarczyk
Our mission is to provide quality dental care in an atmosphere of trust. We believe in what we are doing, thoroughly enjoy our patients & families, and have fun making you feel comfortable. With integrity and good intent, we want to provide results that you value. We really hope you communicate your wants & needs openly with myself or any of our staff members. Our committment is to listen to you first, and then with teamwork between our talented team, you & myself, to achieve your goals for your smile and long-term health.
Originally from Las Vegas, I left the desert, receiving a great undergraduate education at the University of Oregon with a major in biology, and a particular interest in research. At the University of Southern California School of Dentistry from which I graduated in 1973, Rex Ingraham, Gordon Christensen and other faculty of international excellence were great inspiration to always continue to learn. Avishi Sadan, DMD, is the new dean of the dental school with specialties in implants and prosthodontics. USC continues its leadership role in excellent clinical skills and community oral health care. Our dental team frequently takes classes at the state dental conventions, through our local dental society & hygiene association, at the ADA conventions, and when possible, we also attend USC Dental School & Dentrix seminars.
My professional associations are with:
- American Dental Association
- California Denta Association
- Redwood Dental Society
Currently I am a member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance and have participated in research conferences throughout the country. Locally I served on the board of Becoming Independent, as well as the North Bay Regional Center for Developmental Disabilities, for several years each.
It was a privilege to be a member of the Redwood Empire Dental Society Peer Review Board for years, to exhibit by request at the ADA national convention, and at the New York Academy of Sciences. Our research resulted in a presentation at the American Society of Human Genetics national convention, and publication in the Journal of Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Surgery. The research and findings we discovered have been duplicated and referenced in numerous professional journals and texts.
My free time includes scuba diving, cross-country skiing, traveling with family, body-surfing and being a loyal fan of USC Trojan & Oregon Duck football. I have been a member of the Sonoma County Trailblazers since 1989, enjoying the camaraderie of this group for a week out on the trail every year. My wife, Laura, and I are members of Wild Oak Saddle Club and Fountaingrove Athletic Club.
Music of every kind is central to our family life & in the office. We regularly attend performances of the Santa Rosa Symphony, the Symphony Pops series, and the Metropolitan Opera programs at the Jackson Theatre, with the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University being a focus of our support. It is our hope that as the center is completed, the community will appreciate what a wonderful gift this is to our spectacular wine country.
At this time, 3 young women who were patients of ours for years are in dental school or in a prosthodontic post-graduate program. It is a treat to nurture a passion for dentistry & patient care with our patients, our team, and associates. We are so inspired by these 3 ladies!
